Jack co-founded Morphic Asset Management in 2012. He was previously Deputy Chief Investment Officer at Sydney based global equity manager Hunter Hall with responsibility for risk management and portfolio construction.
As a stock picker Jack has invested in a variety of markets and sectors, but developed in-depth knowledge of markets in Asia-Pacific region as well as global finance and resources sectors.
He played a key role in building Hunter Hall from just $13m under management when he joined to a peak of just under $3 billion. In ten years as a Portfolio Manager with Hunter Hall, generated substantial out-performance.
Prior to joining Hunter Hall, Jack had careers in corporate finance and as an international financial journalist.
Jack holds an MA from Oxford University. He completed the three year, part time Owner/President Management Course at Harvard Business School in 2009
Chad co-founded Morphic Asset Management in 2012. He was previously a Portfolio Manager and Head of Currency and Macroeconomics at Hunter Hall for five years.
Prior to this, Chad was an Investment analyst at BT Financial Group including a secondment to Putnam Investments in Boston. He began his career as an Economist at Australian Federal Treasury.
As a stock picker Chad is also a generalist but has strong regional knowledge of Europe and the Americas.
Chad holds a B.Comm and a B.Econ (Hons) from the University of Queensland and has completed the Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”) program and been awarded the CFA Charter.
Geoff joined Morphic at the inception in 2012. He previously worked in risk management at Global Trading Strategies, a global macro hedge fund that managed in excess of US$1 billion through the global financial crisis, 2009 to 2011.
Prior to that he worked in risk management at Barclays Capital in London, managing the risks arising from the hedge fund clients of the bank’s Prime Brokerage business.
Geoff has experience of investing in currencies, bonds and derivatives to hedge risk and reduce volatility.
Geoff holds an M.Sc Financial Engineering (Distinction) from the University of London, and an M.Sc in Computer Science (Distinction) from the University of Birmingham as well as a B.Eng Mechanical Engineering (1st Class) from the University of Birmingham.
James joined Morphic in 2016. He was previously Head of Investment Research at Knight Vinke, a leading activist investor focused on European companies, based in Zurich and London.
Prior to this, James was Head of Investment Research for a single family office in Zug, Switzerland following more than 10 years at Swiss Reinsurance Company initially as a UK Equity Portfolio Manager, based in London, followed by a sector specialist analyst role for a multi-billion CHF proprietary absolute return global equity fund, based in Zurich.
James is a stock picker and has experience across a wide range of sectors with a European and North American regional bias.
James holds a B.A (Hons) in Industrial Economics from Nottingham University.
Claudia joined the team in 2017.
She was previously an analyst at Smithtan Asset Management, a midcap focused Asian Fund based in Hong Kong.
Prior to this, Claudia spent the majority of her career since 2007 at Morgan Stanley covering Asia-Pacific equities, based in Hong Kong.
Claudia holds a B. Business/B. Arts in International Studies at the University of Technology Sydney. She also completed the PRI Academy’s “Responsible Investment Essentials” and “Enhanced Financial Analysis” courses in 2018.
Cameron joined the team in 2016.
Cameron assists with coverage of Asian stocks. He has passed CFA Level I.
Cameron holds an M. Fin (Distinction) and a B.Comm from Massey University in New Zealand.
Lucina joined the team in 2017 after interning at Morphic.
Lucina is studying a B. Comm/B. Sc (Adv) at the University of Sydney.
